Ekendra Dasa

Krishna TV: Ekendra Dasa

Last month we featured Tulasi Priya’s Video, Dealing with Disease. This month we feature her husband, Ekendra Dasa, who is a singer and songwriter. In this first video of four, Ekendra sings about the unknown self and how we are all struggling to face our fears and deal with reality. After the song he explains the meaning and offers the solution to keeping your mind illuminated: Chant Hare Krishna. Stay tuned for more upcoming transcendental video blogs!

Gauranga Kishore Dasa

Featured Blog: Gauranga Kishore Dasa

In this month’s featured blog, we ventured out and found a devotee who maintains a very nice, almost daily blog. With our new “Blogs From Around the Web” section, we can give you a live feed of various blogs we’ve highlighted or found inspiring and appealing to our audience. This month we present Gauranga Kishore Dasa. He is a “Second Generation” youth or “Gurukuli” and was born in the Hare Krishna Movement. He is also a disciple of His Holiness Radhanath Swami. After taking a break from college to study in India with his spiritual master for a year, he returned and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bsc. in Psychology. He has since returned to India and onwards to various temples to do service as a pujari or preaching at colleges. Give him your blessings as you follow him in his spiritual journeys and serves Lord Krishna! “Without the blessings of Vaisnavas, we cannot do anything successfully to please Krishna.”

Carrot Cake Supreme

Food: Ranga’s Kitchen

How about a slice of moist and rich “Carrot Cake Supreme”? Head over to our Food section and visit Ranga’s Kitchen for some fabulous recipes and mouth watering pictures! Cooking and hosting family gatherings is in Rangavati Dasi’s genes. Her grandmother, who lived just outside of Rome, Italy, cooked things like bread and homemade spaghetti every day and her father was also a restaurateur. She also shared the kitchen with Yamuna Devi, author of Lord Krishna’s Cuisine. Create your own Holiday Feast and do as Ranga does - spend time with your loved ones eating Krishna prasadam (food offered with devotion to God).

Read: 2007 Krishna Culture Festival Tour

In December’s Newsletter, we featured the upcoming Mexico and Guatemala Krishna Culture Festival Tour under “Events”. This month we present to you a report of this past year’s successful preaching and travels throughout North America. ISKCON youth from all parts of the world traveled throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico and Guatemala to put on Krishna Culture Festivals at Ratha-yatras, theaters, temples, auditoriums, yoga studios, and beaches. They visited glaciers in the Rocky Mountains, hot-spring waterfalls, exotic “cenotes” in the jungles and white sand beaches in the Caribbean. Read the report, view hundreds of photos, and watch a video of our 2007 festival tour. Visit ISKCONyouth.com for more information and to get involved.
